Emmy-Winning “Young Sheldon” Actress Valerie Mahaffey Dies

According to cinemadrame News Agency, Valerie Mahaffey, the Emmy-winning actress from “Northern Exposure” and “Young Sheldon,” has passed away at 71 after a battle with cancer. Mahaffey’s representative stated that the actress died last Friday in Los Angeles.

Over 45 years ago, Mahaffey appeared in the soap opera “The Doctors” and had acting credits in “Desperate Housewives,” the film “Sully” directed by Clint Eastwood, and “French Exit” opposite Michelle Pfeiffer.

She won the series’ only Primetime Emmy for her role as “Eve” in “Northern Exposure.”
